Building Local Capacity through Project Management

At ArmeniaCorps, we prioritize strengthening the skills and capacities of local changemakers by building on the existing assets, talents, and leadership within rural communities—core principles of the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach.

ArmeniaCorps participants took part in a Project Management workshop led by expert Gayane Mkrtchyan. This training focused on equipping participants with essential tools in project planning, communication, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting—skills crucial for leading locally driven development initiatives.

By drawing on the strengths of community members and enhancing their capacities, participants not only refined their current projects but also deepened their understanding of how to design sustainable, participatory solutions that respond to real needs.

This investment in local leadership is already producing tangible results, with participants actively applying new tools to improve project outcomes and drive impact in their home communities.
