The ArmeniaCorps Development Initiative is not only about skill-building—it’s about action. By equipping community representatives from over 25 settlements with tools to design and implement targeted, asset-based interventions, the program fosters local ownership and sustainable change.
On March 10, 2023, ArmeniaCorps took this commitment a step further by organizing a pitching competition to turn learning into impact. Nine participant groups presented project proposals developed through ArmeniaCorps trainings. The event aimed to identify the top five small-scale, community-driven projects ready for implementation.
We extend our deepest thanks to the expert jury—Albina Balyan (U.S. Embassy Yerevan), Edgar Ghukasyan (Masis consolidated community), and Abraham Artashesyan (Communities Finance Officers Association)—for ensuring a transparent and thoughtful evaluation process.
The competition reflects ArmeniaCorps’ ongoing investment in local leadership and its alignment with the SDGs, particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Stay tuned as we announce the winning projects and celebrate the change-makers driving community transformation from within.
ArmeniaCorps Development Initiative is developed by USG alumna Hayasa Tahmazyan, funded through the US DOS Public Diplomacy Section grant, and supported by the Masis Community, Ararat region, RA.
