Mobilizing Resources for Local Impact: ArmeniaCorps Workshop on Community Development Funding

As part of the ArmeniaCorps Development Initiative, a workshop was held focused on resource mobilization—a vital step in turning ideas into sustainable action. Led by development expert Lilit Arzoyan, the session introduced ArmeniaCorps participants to practical strategies for identifying and accessing funding to implement locally driven development initiatives.

Rooted in the principles of Asset-Based Community Development and aligned with the SDGs, the ArmeniaCorps initiative emphasizes building on existing strengths within communities. Participants not only gain theoretical knowledge but also apply their learning by designing real-world interventions tailored to local needs.

Currently, ArmeniaCorps participants are actively developing projects that reflect the aspirations and capacities of their communities. To support these efforts, small grants will be awarded to the most responsive and innovative project proposals.

The program is developed by USG alumna Hayasa Tahmazyan, funded through a Department of State Public Diplomacy Section grant, and supported by the Masis Community, Ararat region, RA.
