ArmeniaCorps Launches to Mobilize Youth for Asset-Based Community Transformation

We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of the ArmeniaCorps Development Initiative, a community-driven program designed to equip 54 youth from 26 villages and Masis city with the skills to lead development efforts grounded in the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach.

By focusing on the strengths, talents, and resources already present in their communities, participants will learn how to identify local assets, design targeted interventions, and mobilize collective action to address pressing challenges and promote sustainable change.

Through a series of practical workshops and mentorship, ArmeniaCorps fosters the leadership capacity of rural youth to co-create solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—ensuring that local knowledge and collaboration drive long-term impact.

The initiative is developed by USG alumna Hayasa Tahmazyan, funded by the U.S. Department of State Public Diplomacy Section, and supported by the Masis Community in the Ararat region, Armenia.
