Empowering Rural Youth Through Financial Literacy Education

Ghukasavan Village, Ararat Region: The “Expanding Educational Opportunities for Young People in Ghukasavan and Norabats Villages” project brought rural youth together for a hands-on financial literacy workshop, addressing a vital gap in non-formal education.

Led by Lilit Vatoyan, founder of KY Academy, the session equipped participants with essential knowledge on income, expenses, and budgeting. They explored practical saving strategies and learned to evaluate investment options for both short-term and long-term goals.

What made the workshop especially engaging were the interactive games that turned financial concepts into memorable, real-life scenarios—deepening understanding and building skills for the future.

The initiative also fostered strong local collaboration. The Innovation & Technology School in Ghukasavan provided venue for the session, while the youth’s active participation made the event a success.

This project was jointly developed and implemented by ArmeniaCorps participants from Norabats and Ghukasavan villages. It was made possible through the Muskie Alumni Small Grants Program under the ArmeniaCorps Development Initiative, funded by Cultural Vistas.
