Norabats Village Library Gets a Digital Boost

Norabats village, Ararat Region. Thanks to generous supporters, the Norabats village library is now equipped with a TV screen, allowing visitors to access educational videos and documentaries for the first time.

This upgrade was made possible through donations from Joe & Cynthia Chisolm and Hermine Martirosyan, in support of Karen Aroian’s ongoing efforts under ArmeniaCorps’ “Increasing Literacy through Access”— initiative.

In many rural Armenian communities, libraries are among the few public spaces where learning is free and inclusive. However, they often lack essential tools to truly serve as centers of knowledge.

To address this gap, ArmeniaCorps launched “Increasing Literacy through Access”—a program that enhances rural libraries by collecting and distributing books, educational resources, and equipment based on the specific needs of each library.

This effort reflects our broader mission: to expand learning opportunities, foster lifelong education, and ensure that no community is left behind in Armenia’s development journey.
